Role Overview
Build, validate, and automate advanced macroeconomic models that produce reliable forecasts and clear economic insights for organizational decision-making. This remote contract role centers on applying EViews expertise to time-series analysis, forecasting, and policy-oriented economic narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement time-series models in EViews, including VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration frameworks.
- Conduct model diagnostics and validation to assess forecast robustness and reliability.
- Automate forecasting workflows to improve modeling efficiency and scalability.
- Translate statistical results into actionable macroeconomic insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prepare precise, concise documentation of modeling approaches and results.
- Work with the team to incorporate model outputs into broader economic narratives and policy recommendations.
- Stay current on macroeconomic modeling practices and EViews software updates.
Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience with EViews, including scripting and automation.
- Demonstrated experience building, estimating, and validating VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration models.
- Deep knowledge of model diagnostics, stability testing, and forecast-accuracy measures.
- Strong quantitative and macroeconomics background.
- Ability to explain complex modeling processes and findings clearly in writing and conversation.
- Experience automating modeling and forecasting workflows.
- Ability to interpret statistical outputs and communicate their economic significance.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and effective in remote collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in economics, econometrics, applied statistics, or a related field.
- Experience supporting central banks, policy institutions, or financial-sector clients on macroeconomic modeling.
- Familiarity with additional econometric tools or programming languages, such as R, Python, or Stata.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $35 to $100 per hour.
