Build, validate, and automate advanced macroeconomic models that turn time-series data into reliable forecasts and decision-ready economic insight. This remote contract role centers on applying EViews expertise to quantitative analysis, clear reporting, and collaboration on economic narratives and policy recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration models in EViews.
- Perform rigorous diagnostics and validation to assess model robustness, stability, and forecast reliability.
- Automate modeling and forecasting workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Interpret complex statistical outputs and communicate actionable macroeconomic insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document methodologies and results in precise, concise written reports.
- Collaborate to incorporate modeling results into broader economic narratives and policy recommendations.
- Stay current with macroeconomic modeling practices and EViews updates.
- Extensive hands-on EViews experience, including scripting and automation.
- Proven experience building, estimating, and validating time-series models, particularly VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of model diagnostics, stability testing, and forecasting-accuracy measures.
- Strong quantitative and macroeconomics background, with the ability to explain complex modeling methods clearly in writing and conversation.
- Demonstrated ability to automate modeling and forecasting workflows and derive economic meaning from statistical results.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and effective in remote collaboration.
- Advanced degree in economics, econometrics, applied statistics, or a related field.
- Experience supporting central banks, policy institutions, or financial-sector clients with macroeconomic modeling.
- Familiarity with R, Python, Stata, or other econometric software and programming languages.
- Remote contract engagement.
- $35 to $100 per hour.
