About this role

Role Overview

Help improve AI-narrated French audiobooks by evaluating how natural, accurate, and engaging they sound to real listeners. This role combines a genuine interest in audiobooks with careful audio review to identify moments where text-to-speech narration needs improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Listen to AI-narrated French audiobooks and assess narration quality, accuracy, naturalness, and listener enjoyment.
  • Identify and document skipped, added, or mispronounced words; incorrectly read numbers; wrongly expanded abbreviations; unnatural phrasing or intonation; and audio glitches or artifacts.
  • Classify each issue and mark its precise location using review tools.
  • Report where narration feels natural and where it disrupts the listening experience.
  • Maintain accuracy and focus across extended audio-review sessions.

Qualifications

  • Native or near-native French fluency for France and regular, active audiobook listening experience.
  • Working English proficiency sufficient to write clear reports and communicate with the team. Full bilingual fluency is not required.
  • Experience in annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or other detail-focused review work.
  • A patient, discerning ear and the ability to sustain careful work over long listening sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, or audio and quality-assurance annotation projects.
  • A background in language, editing, voice, or audio production.

Work Terms

  • Remote, part-time hourly work.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week, or about 4 hours per day.
  • Applicants may be based anywhere; candidates living in a region where French is natively spoken are preferred.

Compensation

15 to 20 per hour.
