Role Overview

Help improve AI-narrated audiobooks by evaluating how naturally they sound to European Portuguese listeners. You will listen with the perspective of a real audiobook fan and a careful analytical ear, identifying moments that disrupt an enjoyable listening experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review AI-generated audiobook narration in European Portuguese for naturalness, accuracy, and overall listener experience.
  • Identify and log skipped, added, or mispronounced words; incorrectly read numbers; wrongly expanded abbreviations; unnatural phrasing or intonation; and audio glitches or artifacts.
  • Classify issues and mark their exact location using review tools.
  • Document overall listener satisfaction, including where narration feels convincing and where it breaks the experience.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across extended audio-review sessions.
Qualifications
  • Native or near-native fluency in European Portuguese.
  • A genuine, active audiobook listener with clear opinions about what makes narration engaging.
  • Working English sufficient to write clear reports and communicate with the team. Bilingual fluency is not required.
  • Experience in annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or similar detail-focused review work.
  • A patient, discerning ear and the ability to remain accurate during long listening sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, or audio quality assurance and annotation projects.
  • Background in language, editing, voice, or audio production.
Work Terms
  • Remote, hourly, part-time engagement.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week, about 4 hours per day.
  • Applicants may be based anywhere, with preference for candidates living in a region where European Portuguese is natively spoken.
Compensation

15 to 20 per hour.
