Role Overview

Use advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills to design realistic business scenarios, create and evaluate Office Open XML documents, and provide detailed, professional feedback that helps train and improve large language models. This contractor role focuses on producing high-quality, domain-relevant examples and comparisons for complex .xlsx, .docx, and .pptx files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and simulate challenging, realistic business scenarios that require expert-level use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, reflecting tasks from your professional experience.
  • Engage in structured, multi-turn interactions with a language model, supplying complex document-related prompts and assessing AI outputs.
  • Create, open, and review Office Open XML documents, including complex .xlsx, .docx, and .pptx files.
  • Evaluate two AI-generated solutions for each task against professional standards, select the preferred output, and record rationale.
  • Provide detailed, side-by-side preference data and written feedback focused on quality, accuracy, and business relevance to inform model improvement.
  • Contribute domain-specific scenarios and insight across multiple industries and business functions to ensure diverse, real-world coverage.
  • Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats to ensure precise understanding and actionable guidance for the AI training team.
Qualifications
  • Required technical and professional skills: Microsoft Excel, Office Open XML (.xlsx/.docx/.pptx), Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, business analysis, document review, scenario design, analytical thinking, strong written communication, and strong verbal communication.
  • Preferred experience: Minimum 3+ years in professional roles within Fortune 500 or similar environments using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on high-impact projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise building complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations across industries such as finance, healthcare, technology, consulting, or retail.
  • Relevant backgrounds include private equity associate, investment banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, marketing strategist, or similar business roles with hands-on deal or project experience.
  • Ability to design use cases for functions such as strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, or HR.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset to evaluate nuanced differences in document quality and business applicability.
  • Experience interacting with language models or writing long-form prompts is a strong plus, though not required.
