Role Overview
Use advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills to design realistic business scenarios, create and review Office Open XML documents, and provide detailed preference feedback that trains and improves large language models. This contractor role focuses on producing high-quality, domain-relevant inputs and evaluations for AI systems. No prior AI experience is required; subject matter expertise in business workflows and Office files is the priority.
Key Responsibilities- Design and simulate challenging, realistic business scenarios that require expert-level use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, drawn from your professional experience.
- Engage in structured, multi-turn conversations with an LLM, presenting complex document-related prompts and evaluating model outputs.
- Create and review Office documents in Office Open XML formats, including .xlsx, .docx, and .pptx.
- Compare two AI-generated solutions for each task, assess them against professional standards, and select the preferred output.
- Document feedback and provide detailed, side-by-side preference data focused on quality, accuracy, and business relevance to inform model improvements.
- Contribute domain-specific insights across industries and business functions so collected data covers diverse, real-world use cases.
- Communicate clearly and thoughtfully in written and verbal form to ensure precise understanding and actionable feedback for the AI training team.
- Required skills: Microsoft Excel, Office Open XML, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, business analysis, document review, scenario design, analytical thinking, written communication, verbal communication.
- Preferred minimum: 3+ years of professional experience working in Fortune 500 or similarly complex environments, using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on high-impact business projects.
- Demonstrated ability to build complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations across industries such as finance, healthcare, technology, consulting, or retail.
- Relevant backgrounds include roles such as private equity associate, investment banking analyst, consultant, FP&A analyst, HR professional, or marketing strategist, with hands-on involvement in deal or project work.
- Proficiency designing use cases for functions like strategy, operations, sales, marketing, finance, or HR.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate nuanced differences in document quality and business applicability.
- Experience interacting with LLMs or writing long-form prompts for AI tools is a strong plus, but not required.
- Engagement type: Contractor, independent contractor relationship.
