Role Overview
Apply broad, advanced Excel expertise to help improve how next-generation AI models complete spreadsheet-based work. This opportunity supports a leading technology company’s generative AI initiative and is designed for versatile Excel professionals with experience across multiple industries and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Help research teams address knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance on Excel tasks across varied domains.
- Create realistic Excel assignments based on professional experience and develop accurate, clearly structured solutions.
- Review Excel tasks and solutions, providing clear written feedback.
- Work with other subject matter experts to maintain consistency and accuracy in training data.
Qualifications
- Advanced professional Excel expertise, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, data modeling, dashboards, Power Query, Power Pivot, and macros/VBA.
- Experience applying Excel across multiple industries and business functions is strongly preferred; single-function specialization is less aligned with this role.
- Teaching or training experience and/or a PhD is a strong plus.
- Experience with AI training, human data annotation, or model evaluation is a strong plus.
- Demonstrable career progression in your field.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Work Terms
- Hourly W-2 employment, with potential placement on a leading technology company’s extended workforce.
- United States-based role.
- Reliable weekday availability for 40 hours per week through the end of September, then 20 hours per week thereafter.
Compensation
$70 to $100 per hour.
