Role Overview
Build pipelines of security-cleared professionals for mission-critical U.S. government and defense-sector roles. This full-cycle recruiting position focuses on connecting qualified federal, military, veteran, and government-experienced talent with location-specific, hard-to-fill opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, evaluating, and closing candidates across cleared domains and locations.
- Develop and maintain pipelines of federal civilians, military officers, veterans, enlisted and NCO personnel, and professionals with prior U.S. government experience.
- Use cleared-talent channels such as ClearanceJobs and ClearedJobs.net, along with military transition networks including SkillBridge, TAP, and Hiring Our Heroes.
- Screen candidates for clearance level, status, and eligibility while maintaining compliance with federal guidelines.
- Coordinate clearance verification with Facility Security Officers and customer security offices, using candidate self-reported information as an initial screening filter.
- Translate military experience, including MOS or rate and service history, into role fit and build trusted relationships with transitioning service members and veterans.
- Partner with hiring managers to define requirements, establish realistic timelines, and provide a strong candidate experience through offer acceptance.
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with substantial experience in cleared, defense, or government-contracting talent acquisition.
- Demonstrated success placing security-cleared candidates and actively sourcing through cleared talent pools and proprietary channels.
- Knowledge of U.S. clearance levels, including Secret, TS, TS/SCI, and polygraph clearances, as well as reactivation windows, reciprocity, and compliance limits in candidate discussions.
- Ability to interpret military and veteran backgrounds, including MOS or rate, and communicate credibly with transitioning service members.
- Familiarity with clearance-verification workflows and collaboration with Facility Security Officers or security offices.
- Strong sourcing, screening, stakeholder-management, written communication, verbal communication, organization, and metrics-driven recruiting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for maritime or Navy, drone or UAS, or combat-operator specialties.
- Experience as a military recruiter, Facility Security Officer, or veteran.
- Familiarity with contingent, project-based, or RPO staffing models in defense or federal environments.
Work Terms
- Full-time, remote role.
- Must be based in the United States.
Compensation
- $35 to $65 per hour.
