Produce high-quality annotated data that helps train next-generation AI systems. As a Generalist for Data Annotation, you will apply domain knowledge, critical thinking, and careful review to label and document diverse content types following detailed project guidelines. This contractor role is remote and emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and clear communication with project coordinators and leads.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and annotate a variety of data types according to detailed project instructions.
- Apply critical thinking to ensure labels are accurate, consistent, and relevant to project goals.
- Collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities and clarify annotation standards.
- Document observations, edge cases, and suggestions to improve annotation procedures and guidelines.
- Provide feedback to help optimize annotation workflows and maintain high quality across tasks.
- Communicate regularly with project coordinators using written and verbal channels.
- Experience with data annotation or related tasks is preferred, domain expertise is valuable.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate labels.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills for interpreting guidelines and handling ambiguous cases.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deliverables.
- Comfortable handling a wide range of content and annotation scenarios, adaptable to evolving guidelines.
- Prior exposure to collaborative or remote professional projects is a plus.
Role type: Contractor. Location: Remote. No prior experience in AI is required; subject matter expertise and annotation ability are what matter. You will work with project coordinators and leads and be expected to follow detailed instructions, document edge cases, and suggest improvements to processes.
CompensationPay range: $30 to $80 per hour.
