About this role

Role Overview

Contribute detailed image and video annotations to train and validate hand tracking and pose estimation models. Your annotations will define wrist, finger joint, and fingertip landmarks, help distinguish left and right hands across varied scenes, and surface challenging edge cases to improve model robustness. No prior AI experience is required, your domain knowledge and visual judgment are the priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and annotate images and video frames with precise hand pose landmarks, including wrists, finger joints, and fingertips.
  • Identify and label left and right hands across diverse scenarios.
  • Detect, flag, and document edge cases such as occlusion, motion blur, gloves, multiple hands, and low-light conditions.
  • Apply detailed annotation guidelines and quality rubrics to ensure consistent, reliable labels.
  • Maintain high accuracy and steady productivity while processing large datasets for computer vision training.
  • Report ambiguous, unclear, or challenging cases to project leads for clarification.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of previously annotated data when requested.
Qualifications
  • Required skills: image annotation, video annotation, familiarity with annotation platforms, computer vision concepts, hand pose estimation, quality assurance, spatial reasoning, strong attention to detail, and clear English communication.
  • No prior AI experience required, domain expertise and careful visual judgment are acceptable starting points.
  • Preferred experience includes prior image or video annotation for machine learning projects, proficiency with annotation tools, and familiarity with landmarks, bounding boxes, confidence scores, and ground truth labeling.
  • Helpful background: work on hand or human pose estimation datasets, gesture recognition, sign language datasets, AR/VR hand-tracking, or similar projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal English for documenting findings and collaborating remotely.
Work Terms
  • Role type: Contractor.
