About this role
Help improve hand-tracking and pose-estimation technology by creating precise training data from images and video. This contractor role focuses on detailed visual annotation that supports next-generation computer vision systems. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities- Review and annotate images and video frames, capturing hand-pose landmarks including wrists, finger joints, and fingertips.
- Confirm accurate left- and right-hand identification across varied scenarios.
- Identify, flag, and document edge cases such as occlusion, motion blur, gloves, multiple hands, and low-light conditions.
- Apply detailed annotation guidance and quality standards to maintain reliable, consistent data.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity while working with large computer vision datasets.
- Escalate ambiguous or challenging cases to project leads for clarification.
- Conduct quality-assurance reviews of previously annotated data when needed.
- Experience annotating images or video for machine learning or AI projects is preferred.
- Proficiency with annotation platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, spatial reasoning, and ability to follow detailed visual guidelines.
- Basic familiarity with computer vision concepts, including landmarks, bounding boxes, confidence scores, and ground-truth labels.
- Experience with hand or human pose-estimation datasets or frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with gesture recognition, sign language, AR/VR hand tracking, or related datasets is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating remotely.
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Open to candidates in Northern America, Latin America, and Europe.
- Hourly pay range: $21 to $70 per hour.
