Video Annotation Specialist

Role Overview

Review and annotate video footage of robotic arms completing designated tasks, producing precise, structured data that helps train and evaluate AI systems. This remote contract role centers on careful visual analysis, consistent application of detailed grading guidelines, and clear collaboration with project contributors. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review videos of robotic arms performing assigned tasks and identify key actions and outcomes.
• Tag and annotate events accurately according to detailed grading guidelines.
• Use video annotation tools and platforms to capture structured observations and support data-labeling work.
• Work with trainers and fellow contributors to clarify ambiguous cases and maintain annotation consistency.
• Document findings and submit annotated datasets according to project standards and milestones.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and insights promptly through written and verbal channels as needed.
• Take part in ongoing quality reviews and incorporate feedback to uphold annotation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with video annotation, data labeling, or comparable data-focused annotation projects.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing and tagging visual information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time-management and self-organization skills for independent project work.
• Familiarity with video annotation tools and software platforms.
• Analytical problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to annotation challenges.
• Experience with AI training, machine learning data preparation, or robotics projects is strongly preferred.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $50 to $90 per hour.
