Role Overview

Apply your legal expertise to help improve AI systems through rigorous analysis, realistic legal writing, and structured feedback. This remote contract role focuses on translating complex US legal concepts into high-quality materials that support how AI models learn, reason, and respond.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, review, and annotate legal documents involving corporate law, litigation, bankruptcy, and compliance.
• Draft realistic legal scenarios, research memoranda, and hypothetical case studies that clarify complex legal concepts.
• Assess AI-generated legal content for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with US law, then provide actionable corrections and feedback.
• Help develop guidelines and quality standards for legal training data.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify emerging legal trends and risk areas relevant to AI applications.
• Convert intricate legal principles into clear, structured formats suitable for computational use.
• Communicate technical legal matters clearly in writing and verbally.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited US law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 3 to 15 years of substantive experience in litigation, corporate law, bankruptcy, or compliance.
• US-based independent practitioner with demonstrated experience handling complex legal matters.
• Strong legal research, legal document analysis, legal drafting, legal writing, legal reasoning, analytical, editorial, collaboration, instructional, quality assurance, guideline development, written communication, verbal communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Judicial clerk experience is preferred.
• Experience teaching law students or legal professionals is preferred.
• Legal journal editorial experience during law school is highly valued.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement open to candidates located in the United States.
• No prior AI experience is required.

Compensation

• $90 to $150 per hour.
