Role Overview

Apply corporate legal expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality legal analysis, drafting, evaluation, and feedback. This remote independent contractor opportunity focuses on translating real-world US legal knowledge into clear, structured training materials. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, review, and annotate legal documents involving corporate law, litigation, bankruptcy, and compliance.
  • Draft realistic legal scenarios, research memoranda, and hypothetical case studies covering complex legal concepts.
  • Assess AI-generated legal content for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with US law, then provide corrections and actionable feedback.
  • Help develop guidelines and quality standards for legal data used in AI training.
  • Collaborate on identifying legal trends and risk areas relevant to AI applications.
  • Convert complex legal principles into clear, structured formats suitable for computational use.
  • Communicate technical legal matters effectively, in writing and verbally, with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited US law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • 3 to 15 years of substantive experience in litigation, corporate law, bankruptcy, or compliance.
  • US-based independent practitioner with demonstrated experience handling complex legal matters.
  • Strong legal research, document analysis, legal drafting, annotation, legal writing, legal reasoning, analytical, editorial, quality assurance, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Judicial clerk experience is preferred.
  • Experience teaching law students or legal professionals is preferred.
  • Legal journal editorial experience during law school is highly valued.

Work Terms

  • Independent contractor engagement.
  • Remote work, available only to candidates based in the United States.

Compensation

  • $90 to $150 per hour.
