About this role
Help develop training data for personal robotics by recording high-quality demonstrations of everyday household tasks. Using a wearable UMI gripper that mimics a robot hand, you will perform tasks naturally in your home while capturing videos that help robots learn to operate in real household environments.
Key Responsibilities- Capture and submit specification-compliant video demonstrations of household tasks using a UMI gripper.
- Set up and operate recording equipment and the wearable device to accurately represent real-world hand movements.
- Follow detailed task instructions and project standards for every recording.
- Review feedback from project reviewers and refine your approach to improve data quality.
- Communicate clearly with the project team in writing and verbally.
- Maintain a consistent weekly workflow that meets minimum approved-data requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex specifications precisely.
- Manual dexterity and comfort completing precise physical tasks across household settings.
- Ability to set up, wear, and operate specialized devices and video-recording equipment.
- Comfort incorporating feedback and improving processes and outputs over time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable access to a fully equipped household in Argentina, including a kitchen, living spaces, and common household items.
- Stable, high-speed home internet capable of uploading large video files.
- Comfort wearing a VR headset for extended periods during regular work.
- Interest in personal robotics, AI, and emerging home technology.
- Experience with data collection, usability studies, or similar hands-on projects.
- Patience for repetitive, precision-focused work and adaptability as project needs change.
- Remote independent-contractor role for candidates based in Argentina.
- Consistent weekly participation is required to meet approved-data expectations.
- Selected candidates should be ready to begin their first task promptly after moving forward in the application process.
- Pay-per-task project with compensation for each hour of approved data that meets project specifications.
- Compensation ranges from $15 to $30 per approved hour, with rates varying by project phase and quality calibration.
- Early work may require roughly two hours of review effort for each hour of approved data; this typically improves with familiarity.
