Apply your tax preparation and advisory expertise to improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, practical input grounded in current tax law. This part-time remote contract role focuses on reviewing tax scenarios, evaluating AI-generated content, and helping strengthen tax-related assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review personal Form 1040 and small-business income tax returns, including Schedule C, S-Corporation Form 1120-S, and partnership Form 1065 filings, for accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
- Advise on tax optimization strategies and explain complex tax concepts clearly in writing and conversation.
- Assess and critique AI-generated tax advice and content using provided rubrics, then provide concise written feedback to improve outputs.
- Verify documentation and assist with questions about filing status, deadlines, and required forms.
- Help develop and refine evaluation rubrics, grading criteria, and assessment guidelines for tax-related outputs.
- Stay current on relevant federal and state tax-code changes affecting client cases and project deliverables.
- Active CPA license in good standing and eligible to practice in the United States.
- At least 5 years of professional tax preparation or advisory experience.
- Extensive experience preparing and filing both personal and small-business tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of current federal income-tax regulations and the income-tax requirements of at least one state.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make technical tax topics understandable for varied audiences.
- Experience evaluating AI models, red-teaming, or providing feedback on machine-generated outputs is helpful but not required.
- Experience creating rubrics, scoring criteria, or assessment guidelines for complex subject matter is preferred.
- Experience with professional tax software such as ProSeries, Lacerte, or Drake is a plus.
- Part-time independent contractor engagement.
- Remote work, available only to candidates located in the United States.
$80 to $110 per hour.
