Role Overview
Store Operations Managers apply hands-on retail management experience to evaluate AI-generated content about store operations, performance reporting, and inventory and cash reconciliation. You will provide detailed, practical feedback and create expert-level examples that help AI systems better reflect real-world retail workflows. This is an ongoing, project-based, remote contract role that can be performed alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and adherence to real store operations and procedures.
- Use your experience with performance reporting, inventory control, and cash reconciliation to create training data and corrective annotations.
- Provide clear, written feedback and examples drawn from day-to-day store management tasks.
- Work asynchronously with research teams, following task instructions and quality standards.
- No previous AI or machine-learning experience required.
- At least 2 years of professional retail store management experience in roles such as Store Manager, District Manager, Retail Operations Manager, or an equivalent position.
- Practical, hands-on familiarity with store management workflows, including store performance reporting and cash and inventory reconciliation.
- Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously.
- Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work.
- Fully remote, asynchronous schedule with no minimum-hour requirement.
- When participating in an active project, most contributors work approximately 5, 20 hours per week.
- Placement on projects depends on current project needs; being selected for one project does not guarantee assignment to others, and additional opportunities may become available over time.

Eligibility- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate; confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this type of contract work may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported for this work.
