Statistician

Apply statistical expertise to improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality analysis, real-world data input, and training-data enrichment. This remote contract role centers on turning complex datasets into clear, reliable findings that support model learning, reasoning, and performance. Prior AI experience is not required.

• Clean, preprocess, and structure complex, messy datasets using R, Python, SAS, Stata, or similar statistical software.
• Conduct and document descriptive and inferential analyses to identify trends and patterns in real-world data.
• Create clear data visualizations that communicate findings and support model development.
• Annotate, label, or enrich datasets to improve AI training-data quality.
• Write concise summaries of methods, analyses, and results for non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate asynchronously with stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and strengthen deliverables through written and verbal communication.
• Identify data-quality issues, recommend practical improvements, and document approaches for incomplete or dirty data.

• Advanced degree, MS or PhD, in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience preparing complex, messy datasets using R, Python, SAS, or Stata.
• Proficiency with descriptive and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
• Strong Python or R skills for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualization.
• Ability to explain complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with large, unstructured, or noisy datasets across multiple domains.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, detailed documentation, and remote collaboration skills.
