Statistician for AI Training

Apply statistical expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world data analysis, documentation, and feedback. This remote contract role focuses on advancing data-driven customer solutions; prior AI experience is not required.

• Clean, preprocess, and structure complex, messy, incomplete, or noisy datasets using R, Python, SAS, or Stata.
• Perform and document descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to identify real-world trends and patterns.
• Create clear data visualizations that communicate key findings and support model development.
• Contribute to dataset annotation, labeling, and enrichment to improve AI training data quality.
• Write concise, organized summaries of methods, analyses, results, data-quality issues, and recommended solutions for non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and improve deliverables through written and verbal communication.

• Advanced degree, MS or PhD, in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience cleaning and preparing complex, messy datasets.
• Proficiency with descriptive and inferential statistics, including hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
• Strong Python or R programming skills for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualization.
• Experience working with large, unstructured, or noisy datasets across varied domains.
• Ability to explain complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including detailed documentation and remote collaboration.

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

• $60 to $120 per hour.
