Role Overview
Build end-to-end data and document infrastructure that supports AI model evaluation, secure data handling, and complex document workflows. This role spans APIs, user interfaces, and data pipelines, with significant ownership in a small, senior team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver backend features using Python and FastAPI, and frontend features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Build data pipelines for evaluation and model control layers.
- Own secure document pipelines across S3, GCS, and Azure, including permissions controls and safeguards against data leakage.
- Develop OCR and search capabilities for PDFs, images, and scanned documents.
- Parse and enforce complex nested JSON structures.
- Create document tooling to generate, edit, and annotate PDFs and images.
- Debug, scale, and improve storage systems and pipelines.
- Improve performance, reliability, and system design across the stack.
- Strong experience building with Python, including FastAPI, and React.
- Experience working across the full stack.
- Solid knowledge of APIs, SQL, asynchronous systems, and data modeling.
- Experience with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to work effectively with complex data systems or pipelines.
- High ownership, low ego, and the ability to execute quickly.
- Preferred experience with LLM or AI systems, OCR, document processing, search systems, secure data handling, permissions, and shipping production systems beyond tutorials.
- Full-time, remote role.
- Must overlap with Pacific Time for at least 6 to 8 hours.
