Join a dynamic team as a Software Engineer focused on Human Data Platforms, where you will play a crucial role in building and shipping systems that enhance AI model performance. Key Responsibilities- Develop and ship features across the backend (Python/FastAPI) and frontend (React/Next.js/TypeScript).
- Build data pipelines for evaluation and model control layers.
- Own secure document pipelines, ensuring no data leakage while managing permissions across S3, GCS, and Azure.
- Develop OCR and search systems for PDFs, images, and scanned documents.
- Parse and enforce complex nested JSON structures.
- Create document tooling for generating, editing, and annotating PDFs and images.
- Debug and scale pipelines and storage systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Enhance system design across the stack.
- Proven experience as a strong builder with Python (FastAPI) and React.
- Comfortable working across the technology stack.
- Solid understanding of APIs, SQL, async systems, and data modeling.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to work with complex data systems or pipelines.
- Demonstrated high ownership, low ego, and fast execution.
- Preferred experience with LLM or AI systems, OCR, document processing, or search systems.
- Experience in secure data handling and permissions.
- Track record of building and shipping real systems, not just tutorials.
This is a full-time remote position, requiring at least 6-8 hours of overlap with the PST timezone.
CompensationThe compensation for this role ranges from $140, 000 to $220, 000 per year.
