Role Overview
Own and build the internal platform systems that power operations, product workflows, and AI-driven infrastructure. This is a full stack, high-ownership role focused on creating reliable backend services, performant frontend tools, and durable data models that internal teams use to run and scale the business.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement end-to-end full stack systems that support critical internal workflows and platform capabilities.
- Build clean, scalable backend services and APIs with explicit contracts and clear ownership boundaries.
- Develop high-quality frontend interfaces used by internal stakeholders and operational teams.
- Participate in data modeling and database performance work, including schema design and query tuning for maintainability and speed.
- Work closely with product, operations, and design to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Improve platform reliability, observability, and the developer experience for internal tooling.
- Maintain engineering quality through code reviews, automated testing, and iterative improvements.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, and implement changes to increase operational resilience.
- Make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience contributing to production full stack systems, via internships, projects, or professional roles.
- Strong TypeScript fundamentals across frontend and/or backend development.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js for backend development, familiarity with NestJS is a plus.
- Experience building user interfaces with React or a comparable framework.
- Understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and core data modeling principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed system communication patterns.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, and awareness of architectures like microservices, serverless, or event-driven systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, an ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Preferred
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, or DevOps workflows.
- Prior work on internal developer platforms, operational tooling, or workflow automation systems.
- Exposure to AI-adjacent, data-heavy, or machine learning powered products.
- Experience in startups, research labs, or other high-growth engineering environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and platform reliability best practices.

- Listed total compensation range in the posting, 180000 to 280000 USD per year.
- Company pay notice states a national base salary range of 120000 to 155000 USD per year for this role.
- All employees are eligible for equity compensation.
