Role Overview

Build and improve the internal tools, services, and workflows that support operations, products, and AI-driven infrastructure. This high-ownership full-stack role offers the opportunity to grow into end-to-end ownership of core platform systems in a remote, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop full-stack systems that support critical internal workflows and platform capabilities.
  • Build scalable backend services and APIs with clear contracts and ownership.
  • Create high-quality, high-performance frontend interfaces for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to data modeling, schema design, query tuning, and database maintainability.
  • Partner with product, operations, and design teams to turn ambiguous requirements into scalable systems.
  • Improve reliability, observability, and developer experience across internal tooling.
  • Maintain engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues while strengthening operational resilience.
  • Make practical tradeoffs among delivery speed, scalability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

  • Experience building or contributing to production full-stack systems through internships, projects, or professional work.
  • Strong TypeScript fundamentals across frontend and/or backend development.
  • Experience with React or a similar UI framework.
  • Familiarity with Node.js backend development, with NestJS experience considered a plus.
  • Understanding of PostgreSQL or other relational databases and core data-modeling principles.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed-system communication patterns.
  • Exposure to AWS or a similar cloud platform.
  • Awareness of microservices, serverless, or event-driven architectures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Experience

  • CI/CD, infrastructure as code, or DevOps workflows.
  • Internal developer platforms, operational tooling, or workflow automation systems.
  • AI-adjacent, data-heavy, or machine-learning-powered products.
  • Startup, lab, or high-growth engineering environments.
  • Monitoring, observability, and platform reliability practices.

Work Terms

  • Full-time, remote position.

Compensation

  • The listed compensation range is $180, 000 to $280, 000 per year.
