Role Overview
Build and improve the internal tools, services, and workflows that support operations, products, and AI-driven infrastructure. This high-ownership full-stack role offers the opportunity to grow into end-to-end ownership of core platform systems in a remote, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack systems that support critical internal workflows and platform capabilities.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs with clear contracts and ownership.
- Create high-quality, high-performance frontend interfaces for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to data modeling, schema design, query tuning, and database maintainability.
- Partner with product, operations, and design teams to turn ambiguous requirements into scalable systems.
- Improve reliability, observability, and developer experience across internal tooling.
- Maintain engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while strengthening operational resilience.
- Make practical tradeoffs among delivery speed, scalability, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Experience building or contributing to production full-stack systems through internships, projects, or professional work.
- Strong TypeScript fundamentals across frontend and/or backend development.
- Experience with React or a similar UI framework.
- Familiarity with Node.js backend development, with NestJS experience considered a plus.
- Understanding of PostgreSQL or other relational databases and core data-modeling principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed-system communication patterns.
- Exposure to AWS or a similar cloud platform.
- Awareness of microservices, serverless, or event-driven architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.
- Comfort working through ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Experience
- CI/CD, infrastructure as code, or DevOps workflows.
- Internal developer platforms, operational tooling, or workflow automation systems.
- AI-adjacent, data-heavy, or machine-learning-powered products.
- Startup, lab, or high-growth engineering environments.
- Monitoring, observability, and platform reliability practices.
Work Terms
- Full-time, remote position.
Compensation
- The listed compensation range is $180, 000 to $280, 000 per year.
- The national base-salary range stated for this full-time role is $120, 000 to $155, 000 USD.
- Employees are eligible for equity compensation and may receive performance-based bonuses, depending on role and company policies.
