Role Overview
Build reliable, scalable financial technology applications across product development and infrastructure. This remote, full-time role focuses on thoughtful user experiences, secure systems, and high-quality engineering across the full stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, deploy, and maintain production full-stack code daily using Node.js, React.js, Next.js, and PostgreSQL.
- Build scalable backend services and REST APIs on AWS.
- Create responsive, maintainable frontend interfaces and troubleshoot React rendering issues and PostgreSQL query performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into released features.
- Maintain strong standards for reliability, security, and data integrity in financial systems.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, including active hands-on frontend and backend coding within the past 12 months.
- Strong recent Node.js backend experience, with examples of work delivered in the past year.
- Advanced recent React.js and Next.js experience, including hooks, state management, App Router, SSR, and ISR.
- PostgreSQL expertise including schema design, data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Production experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD workflows, agile development, and clear written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or financial technology systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, Redis, caching strategies, microservices, and testing frameworks such as Jest, PyTest, or Cypress.
Work Terms
- Full-time, remote position.
Compensation
- Listed compensation is $180, 000 to $230, 000 per year.
- The stated national base-salary range is $140, 000 to $160, 000 USD.
- Employees are eligible for equity compensation and may receive performance-based bonuses, depending on role and company policies.
