Software Engineer, Financial Platform

Join the core Financial Platform team to design and build next generation financial technology systems. This role blends product development, infrastructure, and applied engineering to deliver reliable, scalable full stack applications and thoughtful user experiences for financial use cases.

• Write, ship, and maintain production code daily across full stack applications using Node.js, React.js, Next.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Design and implement scalable backend services and RESTful APIs running on AWS infrastructure.
• Build responsive, maintainable frontend interfaces, and be comfortable debugging React rendering issues and tuning PostgreSQL queries.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate product requirements into shipped features.
• Maintain high standards for system reliability, security, and financial data integrity.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, perform and participate in code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
• Produce clear code, documentation, and team communications.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with active hands on coding in the last 12 months across both frontend and backend.
• Strong, recent backend development experience with Node.js. Be prepared to share what you have shipped in the last year.
• Recent, advanced frontend experience with React.js and Next.js, including hooks, state management, and modern Next.js features such as the App Router and SSR or ISR.
• Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and data modeling.
• Hands on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Demonstrated experience designing and integrating REST APIs in production.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Nice to have: Python, experience building or maintaining financial or fintech systems, familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GraphQL, Redis and caching strategies, microservices experience, and modern testing frameworks such as Jest, PyTest, or Cypress.

• Listed compensation range: $180, 000 to $230, 000 per year.
• Company notice lists a national base salary range of $140, 000 to $160, 000 USD for this full time position.
• All employees are eligible for equity compensation. Employees may also receive performance based bonuses, subject to role and company policies.
