Retail Operations Manager

Retail operations managers can apply their store, inventory, and warehouse expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and improve how AI understands retail workflows and practices.

This is an ongoing, project-based hourly contract engagement that can be performed alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment. No prior AI experience is required.

• Create expert-level training data using practical knowledge of the tools used in daily retail operations work.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
• Provide feedback informed by store performance management, inventory control, and warehouse operations.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in retail operations management, including Retail Operations Manager, Retail Operations Director, or an equivalent retail industry role.
• Hands-on experience with store performance monitoring and reporting, cash and inventory reconciliation, and warehouse receiving operations.
• Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams.

• Remote, part-time, flexible, asynchronous work.
• No minimum hour requirement. Contributors typically work about 5 to 20 hours per week while assigned to an active project.
• Project placement depends on current needs, and qualified applicants may be considered for future projects as they become available.

Up to $80/hr (depending on the project).

F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible. Confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official. If your school requires a CPT course, the engagement may not meet that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.
