Retail Operations Manager for AI Training

Retail Operations Managers apply hands-on store operations expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and create expert training data that improves AI understanding of retail workflows.

• Use practical experience with store performance management, inventory control, and warehouse operations to assess AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
• Create and annotate expert-level training data based on the tools and processes you use in daily retail operations.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to research teams to help refine AI behavior for retail scenarios.
• Work independently and asynchronously to complete evaluation tasks on a project basis.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in retail operations management.
• Relevant titles may include Retail Operations Manager, Retail Operations Director, or equivalent roles in the retail industry.
• Hands-on experience with retail operations workflows, including store performance monitoring and reporting, cash and inventory reconciliation, and warehouse receiving operations.
• Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous research context.
• No prior AI experience required.

• Engagement is part-time, remote, and project-based, performed as hourly contract work.
• Schedule is flexible and asynchronous, there is no minimum hour requirement.
• When active on a project, most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
• Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they arise.

Paid hourly, Up to $80/hr (depending on the project).

• F-1 students may be eligible if they have appropriate CPT or OPT authorization, subject to their school policies. Coordinate with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires a credited CPT course, this project-based contract may not satisfy that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for this work.

• Accept assignments for projects that match your skills and availability, then begin performing tasks and receiving payment.
