Retail Pricing Analyst for AI Training

Pricing Analysts apply retail pricing expertise to evaluate AI-generated outputs and create expert training data that reflects real-world pricing workflows. This project-based, part-time engagement draws on hands-on experience with pricing strategy, markdown planning, and competitive price monitoring to improve AI accuracy in retail pricing tasks. This is a flexible, hourly contract engagement rather than a traditional full-time role, and it can be performed alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.

• Use your professional pricing knowledge to produce and validate training data that reflects actual retail pricing practices and tools.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and adherence to standard pricing workflows.
• Apply hands-on experience with pricing strategy, markdown planning, tariff pricing, competitive price monitoring, and markdown optimization to provide structured feedback.
• Communicate findings in clear written form and work independently with research teams on asynchronous review tasks.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in retail pricing or price management, in roles such as Pricing Analyst, Senior Pricing Manager, or equivalent retail positions.
• Direct, hands-on experience with pricing workflows, including tariff pricing and competitive price monitoring, and experience with markdown optimization strategies.
• Strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously.
• No prior AI experience is required.

• Location: Fully remote.
• Engagement type: Part-time, hourly contract work.
• Schedule: Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement. Most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• Project availability: Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs. Candidates may be considered for future projects as they become available.
• Relationship: Contract-based, project-by-project participation rather than a traditional employment arrangement.

• Up to $80/hr (depending on the project).
• Paid on an hourly basis for work completed under each project engagement.

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify for projects. Confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official, since some schools require a CPT course enrollment that this type of project may not satisfy.
• STEM OPT is not supported for these projects.

• Begin assigned tasks and submit deliverables to receive hourly payment.
