Role Overview

Apply your mechanical engineering expertise to help improve AI systems used in mechanical engineering contexts. You will evaluate technical content, answer domain-specific questions, and provide practical feedback that strengthens the accuracy and usefulness of AI-generated work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review written content and AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and quality within your mechanical engineering specialty.
  • Answer questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback informed by professional experience.
  • Identify useful reference materials relevant to mechanical engineering.
  • Share practical insight into engineering tools, workflows, and standards used in day-to-day work.
  • Collaborate with a small cross-functional group of subject-matter experts.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified mechanical engineer with an active US Professional Engineer, PE, license.
  • At least 2 years of professional mechanical engineering experience, ideally spanning more than one area such as thermodynamics and HVAC, structural or mechanical design, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including ASME, and common engineering tools such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD, or similar software.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, specifications, or training materials is a plus.
  • Comfort using everyday AI tools, such as ChatGPT or similar tools.
  • Professional working English.

Work Terms

  • US remote, with candidates required to be based in the United States.
  • Flexible, part-time hourly engagement of approximately 10 hours per week.
  • Opportunity for the engagement to continue and expand over time.

Compensation

  • $65 to $90 per hour.
