Kiembu-English Linguist for AI Training

Role Overview

Apply your Kiembu and English language expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, culturally informed language analysis. This remote contractor role focuses on producing high-quality linguistic input, annotations, and feedback. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe Kiembu video and audio content, including precise timestamps for each segment.
• Analyze speaker emotion and tone in multimedia content.
• Evaluate and annotate grammar, sentence construction, and other linguistic features in Kiembu communication.
• Explain the meanings and cultural nuances of selected Kiembu words and phrases.
• Complete contextual analysis and advanced translation or interpretation tasks.
• Provide clear written and verbal feedback that supports linguistic project objectives.
• Ensure all deliverables meet required quality standards and project guidelines.

Qualifications

• Exceptional bilingual fluency in Kiembu and English, including advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Kiembu grammar, syntax, and cultural context.
• Experience with transcription, linguistic annotation, or related language-focused work.
• Analytical ability to assess emotion, tone, and speaker intent.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and consistently on detailed language tasks.
• Background or interest in linguistics, translation, or language technology is a plus.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

Compensation

• $45 to $95 per hour.
