Help shape high-quality Portuguese language data for AI and machine learning projects from a remote setting. This contract role applies bilingual fluency and linguistic expertise to annotation, review, and language-resource development.
Key Responsibilities- Annotate, label, and review Portuguese-language data for AI and machine learning applications.
- Maintain linguistic accuracy and consistency across annotation and data-curation work.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on language standards and project guidelines.
- Provide expert feedback on language usage, translations, and data quality.
- Document annotation processes and recommend workflow improvements.
- Share insights and best practices on Portuguese language nuances in team discussions.
- Help develop language resources tailored to project needs.
- Native or near-native Portuguese proficiency and fluent English.
- Experience with data annotation and language-data processing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Solid knowledge of Portuguese grammar, syntax, and regional variations.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines remotely, and collaborate with multicultural, distributed teams.
- Background in linguistics, language studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience supporting AI or localization projects and familiarity with annotation tools or platforms are preferred.
- Remote contract engagement.
- $30 to $65 per hour.
