Annotate, review, and improve Portuguese language data used to train and evaluate AI systems, helping ensure linguistic accuracy and high-quality training material for machine learning projects. This remote contractor role focuses on data annotation, linguistic validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent language standards.

• Annotate, label, and review Portuguese language content for AI and machine learning use.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency across annotated data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on language standards and project guidelines.
• Provide expert feedback on language usage, translations, and data quality issues.
• Document annotation decisions and workflows, and recommend process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese, with fluency in English.
• Proven experience in data annotation or language data processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of Portuguese grammar, syntax, and regional variations relevant to Brazil.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving orientation and dedication to delivering high-quality results.
• Experience working in multicultural, distributed teams.

• Background in linguistics, language studies, or a related field.
• Prior experience on AI, machine learning, or localization projects.
• Familiarity with annotation tools and platforms.

Independent contractor, fully remote. This is a contract position and contributors work from their own location.

Paid hourly at a rate of $30 to $65 per hour.

• Must be native or near-native in Portuguese and fluent in English.
• Must be able to engage as an independent contractor and perform remote work reliably, meeting deadlines.
