Engineering and Data Tools Specialist for AI Training

Help shape how engineering and data tooling is evaluated and documented to improve next generation AI systems. In this contractor role, you will apply hands-on engineering and cloud experience to test, evaluate, and produce actionable feedback and technical documentation about developer and data tools. No prior AI experience is required, your domain expertise in engineering and data workflows is the primary requirement.

• Evaluate usability and effectiveness of engineering and data tools, including but not limited to GitHub, Azure, Metabase, and JIRA.
• Create clear, comprehensive documentation and feedback reports based on real-world tool usage and engineering best practices.
• Design, review, and test workflows that integrate cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, and Firebase, and developer productivity platforms such as Linear, Postman, and n8n.
• Analyze data visualization, monitoring, and CI/CD tools, including Tableau, Datadog, Sentry, and BrowserStack, to identify integration potential and process improvements.
• Contribute detailed use cases, technical guides, and process documentation for new features and data workflows.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, delivering actionable recommendations and technical insights through strong written and verbal communication.

• 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience with engineering, developer tooling, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Proficiency with a variety of tools, ideally including GitHub, Postman, AWS, Firebase, Azure, Datadog, Sentry, JIRA, Linear, n8n, Twilio, Databricks, Tableau, Metabase, and BrowserStack.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to technical clarity and accuracy.
• Bachelor''s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technical feedback into actionable improvement proposals.
• Experience supporting both cloud/infrastructure and developer tooling domains is highly desirable.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote contributor capacity.

• Pay: $40.00 to $80.00 per hour.
