Equity Research Analyst for AI Training

Role Overview

Apply equity research expertise to help train advanced AI systems using accurate, real-world financial analysis, modeling, and sector insight. This remote contract role focuses on producing and evaluating high-quality research inputs. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and contribute to datasets that model real-world equity research analysis for accuracy and relevance.
• Analyze earnings reports, revise estimates, and synthesize peer benchmarking insights.
• Evaluate company models, including revenue, margin, cash flow, and valuation drivers.
• Write concise research summaries and event-driven updates informed by deep sector knowledge.
• Develop and explain investment theses that connect qualitative and quantitative factors to actionable perspectives.
• Identify industry trends, sector-specific metrics, and company catalysts relevant to fundamental analysis.
• Work with project stakeholders to provide data-quality feedback and improve research-related content.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a sell-side Research Associate with direct ownership of company models and written research, or as a publishing or lead Research Analyst, including VP or Director-level roles.
• Experience independently covering multiple companies across several earnings cycles while maintaining comprehensive models.
• Strong equity research, financial modeling, earnings analysis, peer benchmarking, data analysis, and valuation analysis skills.
• Ability to connect business drivers with financial outcomes and valuation.
• Deep expertise in at least one sector, such as banks, insurance, or biotech.
• Experience developing and defending investment theses and research views, with accountability for research accuracy and quality.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $175 to $300 per hour.
