About this role

Apply life insurance and annuity expertise to create and evaluate high-quality insurance reasoning work that improves advanced AI systems. This remote opportunity focuses on realistic advisory, underwriting, and policy-service scenarios involving mortality risk, long-term guarantees, and suitability.

Role Overview

You will develop practitioner-quality reference materials, assess AI-generated responses against industry standards, and provide written feedback to help improve insurance reasoning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design realistic scenarios covering needs analysis, product selection, illustrations, medical and financial underwriting, table ratings, replacements and 1035 exchanges, policy loans, surrenders, lapse, and reinstatement.
  • Create coverage recommendations, illustration comparisons, underwriting assessments, suitability rationales, replacement analyses, and policy-service determinations.
  • Write reference responses that reflect experienced life and annuity practitioner standards.
  • Evaluate AI responses using structured rubrics for product accuracy, suitability, mathematical correctness, and adequacy of disclosures.
  • Identify unsupported illustration assumptions, unsuitable recommendations, product-type or tax-treatment errors, and missed replacement or disclosure requirements.
  • Provide written feedback used to improve model behavior.
  • Participate in onboarding office hours and calibration sessions.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in life insurance or annuity advisory, underwriting, new business, policy administration, product, or suitability review.
  • Experience with at least one product family, including term, whole life, universal life, indexed universal life, variable life, or fixed, indexed, and variable annuities.
  • Understanding of how cost of insurance, crediting, caps, participation rates, surrender charges, riders, and guarantees affect long-term outcomes.
  • Ability to clearly explain tax treatment and suitability considerations and recognize when licensed, legal, or other formal review is needed.
  • Excellent written communication, quantitative care, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish product and suitability judgment from investment advice and formal tax or legal advice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CLU, ChFC, FLMI, CFP, or a comparable designation.
  • An active or previously held life and health producer license or securities registration.
  • Medical or financial life underwriting experience, including APS review, lab interpretation, or reinsurance referral.
  • Experience with buy-sell, key-person, estate-planning, premium-finance, or executive-benefit cases.
  • Experience with suitability, Reg BI, or state replacement and disclosure review.

Work Terms

  • Remote, open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
  • Per-task engagement.
  • Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, with 40 or more hours per week preferred.
  • Work begins immediately, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Compensation

$800 per task.
