Role Overview
Produce high-quality English transcripts that help improve how next-generation AI systems learn, reason, and perform. This remote independent-contractor role combines precise transcription, captioning, transcript review, and language-data annotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe English audio files accurately and consistently.
- Review and refine machine-generated transcripts, correcting spelling, grammar, and contextual errors.
- Add relevant metadata tags and annotations to improve transcript and language-data quality.
- Ensure all work meets strict quality standards and client formatting requirements.
- Collaborate with the client team to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities in source material.
- Handle sensitive or confidential content professionally and discreetly.
- Maintain organized records of completed assignments and contribute ideas for process improvement.
Qualifications
- Fluent English proficiency with exceptional spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
- Extensive experience transcribing and captioning English audio content.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with care and precision in each task.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing machine-generated transcripts.
- Proficiency in metadata tagging and annotation for language data sets.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines while working remotely.
- Ability to work independently while responding promptly to feedback and updates from the client team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI, speech recognition, or machine-learning projects.
- Academic or professional background in linguistics, English, or a related language discipline.
- Familiarity with leading transcription tools and platforms.

Compensation
