Role Overview
Apply computational biology expertise to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems through real-world technical assignments. This remote contract role focuses on assessing AI coding agents in complex computational biology workflows, with no prior AI experience required.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate on assignments that evaluate and improve AI coding agents in computational biology contexts.
- Develop real-world use cases for Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork in complex computational biology scenarios.
- Document detailed workflows, methods, and outcomes from using AI agents for sequence generation and technical problem-solving beyond basic chat interactions.
- Provide clear written and verbal feedback on model performance, usability, and potential integration into professional STEM environments.
- Contribute advanced-use insights, including large codebase navigation, debugging complex issues, and designing computational biology solutions.
- Participate in structured assignments that support model improvements and domain-specific benchmark development.
- Discuss tools and techniques with the project team and clearly communicate complex technical information.
- Hands-on computational biology expertise and a record of solving complex technical projects with AI coding agents beyond basic code generation.
- Proficiency in Python and AI coding agents, including Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
- Experience using these agents for sequence generation in authentic workflows.
- Experience navigating large codebases, debugging intricate issues, delivering end-to-end features, and managing architectural changes in computational settings.
- Strong technical documentation, written communication, verbal communication, workflow-design, and problem-solving skills.
- Current STEM professional experience applying AI coding agents to challenging real-world problems.
- Ability to provide nuanced feedback that helps shape AI systems for computational biology.
- Comfort working through ambiguous problem spaces and adapting tools to address novel or unclear technical challenges.
- Remote, independent contractor engagement.
