Role Overview
Create original competitive programming environments that help evaluate and improve next-generation AI systems. You will develop unique problems, reference solutions, and robust test suites that assess complex reasoning and programming capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create custom competitive programming problems that do not appear on existing online judges.
- Develop reference solutions and comprehensive test suites.
- Design and implement accurate, robust C++ checkers for problems with multiple valid outputs.
- Evaluate and validate submissions against complex problem statements, including problems sourced from platforms such as Codeforces.
- Work with the customer team to refine requirements and resolve ambiguous scenarios.
- Write maintainable code that efficiently handles varied outputs and edge cases.
- Document checker logic and communicate technical details and edge cases clearly in writing and conversation.
- Provide feedback to problem setters and reviewers on test-case and checker improvements.
- Apply current competitive programming standards and checker-development best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong competitive programming and coding-problem analysis expertise.
- Advanced C++ proficiency, including building reliable checker solutions.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex constraints and multiple solution paths.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Careful attention to code validation and output consistency.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment and deliver high-quality, well-documented code under tight deadlines.
- Experience as a problem setter, tester, or checker on major competitive programming platforms is preferred.
- No prior AI experience is required.
Work Terms
- Remote independent-contractor engagement.
- Commitment of at least 15 hours per week.
- Selected candidates should be ready to begin initial tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
- Minimum weekly task-submission requirements apply.
Compensation
- Compensation range: $45 to $65 per hour.
- Payment is output-based and issued per task that meets project specifications. Completion time may vary based on experience and workflow.
