Role Overview

Apply advanced physics expertise to drive research and to teach, evaluate, and improve AI systems by converting real-world scientific knowledge into clear, high-quality training and evaluation content. This remote contractor role focuses on advanced physics research, analysis, and science communication to help shape next-generation AI behavior. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct deep-dive research on fundamental and applied physics topics, including staying current with recent developments.
  • Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and support the formulation of robust physical theories.
  • Develop clear, detailed explanations of complex scientific concepts for use in AI training and evaluation.
  • Create and curate physics-related educational content for AI training modules.
  • Critically review AI-generated physics content for conceptual accuracy, clarity, and scientific rigor.
  • Collaborate remotely with project stakeholders to refine deliverables and meet project objectives.
  • Provide written and verbal feedback on research outcomes and physics-related queries as part of an iterative training process.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate (PhD) in Physics or a closely related scientific discipline, required.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting rigorous scientific research, preferably with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong foundation in theoretical and experimental physics, with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex ideas.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in science education and outreach.
  • Relevant skills: physics, scientific research, critical thinking, and teaching.
  • Preferred: experience developing or delivering physics instruction at the university or advanced undergraduate level, and comfort working collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects.
