Business Analyst / Researcher / Operations Specialist

Role Overview

Apply your business analysis, research, or operations expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through writing-intensive analytical assignments. You will use professional judgment to explain decisions and trade-offs, evaluate evidence, synthesize complex information, and produce clear, well-organized deliverables. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business scenarios and clearly explain decision rationales, trade-offs, and outcomes.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to inform process improvements and operational strategies.
• Gather, interpret, and synthesize requirements and stakeholder perspectives into actionable findings and recommendations.
• Evaluate and communicate findings from multiple data sources, using Excel, SQL, or similar tools when relevant.
• Draft comprehensive reports, memos, requirements documents, and process documentation for varied audiences.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders in writing to clarify objectives and refine deliverables.
• Create thoughtful analytical content that reflects sound professional reasoning and real-world expertise.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in business analysis, market or policy research, operations management, or a related field.
• Experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, process improvement, operations management, stakeholder communication, report or memo writing, and synthesis of complex information.
• A proven record of producing business cases, research reports, requirements documents, process documentation, or similar written deliverables.
• Strong data interpretation skills and advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, or comparable analytical tools.
• Ability to structure and communicate complex information clearly and precisely.
• Excellent written English, including professional and analytical writing for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and stakeholder communication practices.
• Experience with leading universities, highly regarded organizations, or significant project accomplishments is preferred.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $90 to $140 per hour.
