Role Overview
Help shape next-generation AI by providing high-quality domain expertise, example generation, and targeted feedback that teach models to reason, perform, and respond more accurately. This contractor role is fully remote and focuses on improving model outputs through data annotation, prompt design, evaluation, and clear written rationales. Prior AI experience is not required; deep subject-matter knowledge and strong communication skills are what matter.
Key Responsibilities- Review and critique AI model outputs across varied domains, identifying errors, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate high-quality example inputs and outputs to demonstrate desired model behavior.
- Annotate datasets and deliver clear written rationales that explain judgments and guidance for model learning.
- Author and refine prompts, questions, and tasks that challenge and expand AI reasoning and capabilities.
- Collaborate remotely with other experts to evaluate, improve, and annotate data sets and shared deliverables.
- Participate in testing that assesses model performance in realistic, domain-specific scenarios.
- Document findings, communicate progress to project stakeholders, and ensure the accuracy, quality, and engagement level of deliverables.
- Demonstrated domain expertise in a specialized field such as science, education, law, engineering, finance, healthcare, or writing.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to provide concise, actionable feedback and rationales.
- Required skills and strengths: data annotation, prompt engineering, critical thinking, written communication, domain expertise, feedback delivery, remote collaboration, attention to detail, adaptability, and ethical awareness in AI.
- Experience in data annotation, teaching, research, or technical writing is advantageous but not required.
- Comfort working independently in a remote, project-based environment and adapting quickly to project guidelines.
- Interest in the development and ethical use of AI technologies.
