About this role

Role Overview

Procurement clerks apply purchasing, supplier management, and inventory-control expertise to evaluate AI-generated outputs and improve model performance for procurement workflows. No prior AI experience is required. This is an hourly, temporary AI research engagement where your real-world procurement knowledge is used to assess model responses and give clear, structured feedback that helps the model understand procurement tasks and language.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and refine prompts that reflect real procurement scenarios, then evaluate AI responses for accuracy, clarity, and usefulness.
  • Use your experience tracking requisitions, contracts, and orders to judge whether model outputs match real-world processes and terminology.
  • Prepare and review purchase order examples and purchasing records as part of evaluations.
  • Assess supplier bids and performance presented by models, identify delivery issues, and rate proposed resolutions in the context of inventory management and cost efficiency.
  • Deliver concise, structured feedback that helps researchers and engineers tune models for procurement use cases.
  • Work asynchronously with research teams to complete evaluations and follow onboarding or project-specific instructions.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management that provides the context needed to evaluate and train AI on procurement tasks.
  • Practical experience managing requisitions, contracts, purchase orders, purchasing compliance, supplier evaluation, or inventory optimization.
  • Ability to work independently on asynchronous tasks and provide clear written feedback.
Work Terms
  • Location: Fully remote, asynchronous work.
  • Employment type: Part-time, project-based, hourly, temporary engagement that can be performed alongside primary employment.
  • Hours: Flexible, no minimum commitment required. Most contributors average 5 to 20 hours per week.
  • Project availability: The program runs year-round with new projects opening periodically. Placement into a specific project depends on project availability at the time of application.
