About this role

Role Overview

Apply professional video expertise to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. This remote contractor role uses your hands-on experience in editing, production, motion graphics, visual effects, and post-production to analyze, annotate, and critique video material so that models learn real-world technical and creative standards. The position values domain knowledge in video more than prior AI experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use your practical video skills, including editing, filming, special effects, post-production, or motion graphics, to provide precise feedback that improves AI model behavior.
  • Analyze video content to identify technical details, creative techniques, and subtle nuances important for model training.
  • Annotate, assess, and document video datasets in collaboration with AI researchers and engineers to support model training and evaluation.
  • Review and critique AI-generated video outputs, checking for accuracy, quality, and conformity with industry standards.
  • Prepare clear written observations and provide verbal explanations to support cross-functional teams.
  • Help curate diverse, high-quality video samples across genres, formats, and production scenarios for training material.
  • Monitor emerging video trends and technologies to keep training data relevant and current.
Qualifications
  • Extensive professional experience in a video-focused role, for example video editor, cinematographer, VFX specialist, or motion graphics artist.
  • Deep understanding of video production workflows, editing software, and visual effects pipelines.
  • Proficiency with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is expected.
  • Skills in video content analysis, data annotation, and quality assurance.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, with strong written and verbal communication skills that can explain complex video concepts to non-experts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time effectively, and collaborating with others while giving constructive feedback.
  • Preferred, but not required: prior experience with AI, machine learning, or data annotation projects, familiarity with many video genres and technical standards, and background in training or mentoring within the video industry.
Work Terms
  • Employment type, contractor.
  • Location, fully remote.
Compensation
  • Hourly rate range, $65 to $80 per hour.
Eligibility
  • No prior AI experience is required; domain expertise in video production is the primary qualification.
  • Candidates must be able to work remotely and manage tasks independently in a contractor arrangement.
