Role Overview
Assess and rate outputs from generative music AI systems in Italian and English, providing detailed annotations and audio-engineering quality assessments. You will evaluate lyrics, vocal synthesis, musicality, and production quality across musical styles, and score training data to help improve model performance. This role supports a collaboration with a leading AI research lab.
Key Responsibilities- Listen to and evaluate AI-generated music samples, including lyrics and voice generation, across multiple genres.
- Rate pairs of AI-generated samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, adherence to the prompt, vocal quality, and production and mix quality, using audio-engineering terminology.
- Score the quality of musical training data used to train models.
- Annotate songs using a structured taxonomy, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics.
- Write or demonstrate experience creating lyrical music in Italian, and follow directions provided in English.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer.
- Demonstrable understanding of musical performance, music theory, and lyrics.
- College degree in music that includes coursework or training in performance, theory, and lyrics.
- Past experience writing lyrical music in Italian.
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Italian and English, and ability to understand instructions given in English.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: Hourly.
- Start date: Immediate.
- Duration: Up to 6 months.
- Commitment: Part-time, minimum 10 hours per week.
Hourly pay range: 19.9 to 58.46 USD per hour.
