Role Overview
Evaluate generative music AI outputs in Malayalam for a project run in partnership with a leading AI research lab. You will listen to and analyze AI-produced songs and vocals, provide detailed ratings and structured annotations, and score the quality of musical training data to help improve model performance.
Key Responsibilities- Assess AI model outputs including lyrics, vocal synthesis, composition, and production quality.
- Score the quality of musical training data used to train generative models.
- Write and evaluate music in Malayalam as required by tasks.
- Follow and act on directions provided in English.
- Rate AI-generated music samples in direct comparisons on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production and mix quality, applying audio engineering terminology.
- Annotate songs using a structured taxonomy, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer.
- Demonstrable understanding of musical performance, music theory, and lyrics.
- College degree in music, covering performance, theory, and lyrical work.
- Past experience writing lyrical music in Malayalam.
- Ability to describe audio attributes using audio engineering vocabulary.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: Hourly.
- Start date: Immediate.
- Duration: Up to 6 months.
- Commitment: Part-time, minimum 10 hours per week.
Pay range: 10.8 to 19.44 hourly.
Eligibility- Native or near-native proficiency in Malayalam and English.
- Ability to understand and follow directions provided in English.
