About this role

Role Overview

Evaluate outputs from generative music AI models in Vietnamese and English, providing detailed, bilingual assessments of lyrics, vocal synthesis, musicality, and production. You will work remotely with a leading AI research partner to rate samples, annotate song elements using technical audio terminology, and score the quality of musical training data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Listen to and evaluate AI-generated music and lyrics across genres, using audio-engineering terminology.
  • Rate pairs of AI-generated samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, adherence to the prompt, vocal quality, and production or mix quality.
  • Score the quality of musical training data used to train models.
  • Annotate songs in detail via a structured taxonomy, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics.
  • Write and assess lyrical music in Vietnamese, following instructions provided in English as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer.
  • Demonstrable understanding of musical performance, music theory, and lyrics.
  • College degree in music that included coursework or practice in performance, theory, and lyrics.
  • Past experience writing lyrical music in Vietnamese, and ability to evaluate lyrical content in that language.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese and strong proficiency in English sufficient to follow directions and participate in onboarding.
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote.
  • Employment type: Hourly, part-time engagement.
  • Start date: Immediate.
  • Duration: Up to 6 months.
  • Time commitment: At least 10 hours per week.
Compensation

Hourly pay range: 13.01 to 23.43 hourly.
