About this role

Role Overview

Video editors apply technical video editing skills to help train and evaluate AI systems that must understand and perform real-world video production tasks. This role contributes domain expertise to AI research projects by creating and assessing materials, prompts, and model outputs related to video editing workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply hands-on experience with video editing tools to inform AI evaluation and training tasks.
  • Develop domain-specific prompts and scenarios that reflect real video editing workflows and challenges.
  • Evaluate and score LLM responses and model outputs for correctness, usefulness, and adherence to professional video-editing practices.
  • Provide clear, domain-informed feedback to research teams to help improve AI behavior in video production contexts.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks in an asynchronous, remote setting.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of work experience using one or more video-editing tools such as OpenShot, Shotcut, or other related technical tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work asynchronously with AI research teams, managing time and deliverables independently.
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote, asynchronous work you can do from wherever you are.
  • Employment type: Part-time, with flexible hours and no minimum commitment to hours.
  • Project placement is dependent on availability, projects are offered periodically throughout the year across different areas of expertise.
  • Independent contractor style engagement, completing tasks for individual projects as assigned.
Compensation

Up to $125/hr (depending on the project)

Eligibility

F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.
