Role Overview
Technical Design Experts apply hands-on experience with technical design and graphics tools to create and evaluate domain-specific prompts, review AI outputs, and help AI systems better understand real-world professional tasks and language. The role supports ongoing AI research projects that run year-round, with new project opportunities opening periodically across different specialties.
Key Responsibilities- Use your tool-specific expertise to create examples, prompts, and guidance that reflect real design and technical workflows.
- Evaluate and annotate LLM responses for accuracy, usefulness, and alignment with professional practice.
- Provide domain-specific feedback to improve model behavior on tasks involving technical drawing, CAD, graphics, and related processes.
- Contribute a variety of task examples, corrections, and contextual notes that capture real-world usage of your tools.
- At least 1+ year of work experience using one or more of the following tools: KiCAD, FreeCAD, AutoCAD, GIMP, Godot, or other related technical design tools.
- Comfort working asynchronously with distributed AI research teams, completing evaluation and annotation tasks independently.
- Location: Remote, work independently from any location.
- Employment type: Part-time, asynchronous contributions.
- Schedule: Flexible hours, no minimum hourly commitment required.
- Project placement depends on project availability, projects open periodically throughout the year.

Eligibility- F-1 students may be eligible if they have appropriate CPT or OPT authorization, subject to your school rules. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
