Role Overview
Spatial Data Analysts apply GIS and spatial analysis expertise to evaluate AI-generated geospatial content, validate mapping outputs, and provide actionable feedback that helps AI systems better understand GIS tasks and spatial data workflows. This is a flexible, hourly contract role you can take on alongside other commitments, focused on project-based contributions to AI research and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Use hands-on experience with geographic information systems, spatial data analysis, or environmental mapping to review AI-produced maps, spatial datasets, and related outputs.
- Evaluate and annotate AI-generated content for accuracy, usability, and adherence to GIS best practices.
- Provide clear feedback and corrective guidance so models improve on GIS tasks and spatial workflows.
- Develop domain-specific prompts and assess large language model responses related to geospatial problems.
- Work asynchronously with AI research teams to complete assigned evaluation tasks and deliverables.
- At least 1 year of work experience using QGIS.
- Practical experience with GIS, spatial data analysis, or environmental mapping tools and workflows.
- Ability to work independently and asynchronously with distributed AI research teams.
- Comfort with contract, hourly work and following structured evaluation guidelines.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: PART_TIME, hourly contract work.
- Asynchronous, independent work from your own location, with flexible hours and no minimum hourly commitment.
- Ongoing, project-based engagement that can be taken on alongside other work or study.
- Placement into specific projects depends on project availability.

Eligibility- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be able to participate, subject to your school and Designated School Official guidance.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, these projects may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported for these projects.
