About this role

Role Overview

Software Engineers apply their development experience to evaluate AI-generated code and technical content, give structured feedback on correctness, efficiency, and clarity, and help improve AI understanding of programming tasks, system design, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review AI-generated code and technical explanations for correctness, performance, maintainability, and alignment with real-world engineering practices.
  • Provide clear, structured feedback and annotations that explain issues and recommend improvements.
  • Design job-related coding questions and test cases that reflect practical engineering problems.
  • Assess solutions for clarity, readability, and adherence to established design patterns and security considerations.
  • Work independently to follow detailed technical guidelines and complete review tasks asynchronously.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, internships excluded.
  • Background as a Software, Backend, Frontend, Full-Stack, or Systems Engineer.
  • Strong coding skills in at least one major language, for example Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Experience building and debugging production-level code.
  • Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills for producing clear feedback and explanations.
Work Terms
  • Employment type: PART_TIME, hourly contract work.
  • Remote and asynchronous, work independently from your location.
  • Flexible hours with no minimum commitment to hours, suitable to be done alongside primary employment.
  • Ongoing, project-based engagements, with placement into specific projects dependent on project availability.
  • Applicants must pass a coding assessment as part of the selection process.
Compensation

Up to $90/hr (depending on the project)

Eligibility
  • Work authorization rules apply. F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate, but you must confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official.
  • If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this project-based arrangement may not meet that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported.
