About this role

Role Overview

Reliability Engineers apply their industrial operations, plant performance, and energy asset management expertise to create expert training data and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and operational relevance. In this part-time, project-based role you will use hands-on knowledge of industrial workflows and performance engineering practices to critique model outputs and provide targeted feedback that improves AI understanding. This engagement is fully remote and can be done alongside other work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate AI-generated content against real-world operations scenarios, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Produce expert-level training data based on hands-on experience with plant systems and asset management.
  • Provide clear, detailed feedback to help models better represent operations workflows and reliability engineering practices.
  • Work asynchronously with AI research teams, documenting examples, corrections, and rationale.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in industrial operations, plant performance, or energy asset management.
  • Relevant roles include Plant Performance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, SCADA Engineer, Drilling or Production Engineer, Generation Asset Analyst, or equivalent energy-industry positions.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with one or more tools such as AVEVA PI, WinCC, Oracle MDM, Power BI, or Bloomberg Terminal.
  • Strong written communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and asynchronously with distributed research teams.
Work Terms
