Reliability engineers apply hands-on industrial operations and plant performance expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and create expert-level training data that improves how AI understands operations workflows and performance engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use your practical experience with industrial operations, plant performance, and energy asset management to review AI outputs for technical accuracy and operational relevance.
  • Produce high-quality, expert training examples drawn from real-world workflows and tools you use in daily work.
  • Provide detailed feedback on AI responses, identifying errors, gaps, and areas for improvement so models better reflect operational realities.
  • Work independently and communicate findings clearly in written form to research teams.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial operations, plant performance, or energy asset management in roles such as Plant Performance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, SCADA Engineer, Drilling or Production Engineer, Generation Asset Analyst, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of these tools: AVEVA PI, WinCC, Oracle MDM, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal.
  • Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work asynchronously with remote research teams.
  • No prior AI or machine learning experience is required.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type: hourly contract work, not a traditional full-time role.
  • Location: fully remote.
  • Schedule: flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hours required. Most contributors work approximately 5, 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
