Role Overview

Regulatory Analysts apply hands-on experience in energy regulation, rate case analysis, and regulatory reporting to evaluate AI-generated content and create expert-level training data. Your feedback will help AI systems better understand regulatory workflows and energy finance practices. This is a flexible, hourly contract role that can be performed alongside other commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and alignment with regulatory practice.
  • Produce expert-level training data that reflects real-world regulatory workflows, rate case analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Provide detailed, task-specific feedback to improve AI handling of energy regulation and finance scenarios.
  • Use the tools and methods you use in daily work to assess outputs and document corrections or clarifications.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in energy regulation, rate analysis, or regulatory compliance.
  • Relevant roles include Regulatory Analyst, Rate Case Analyst, FERC Reporting Analyst, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: SAP, Oracle MDM, Power BI.
  • Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
Work Terms
  • Work arrangement: Fully remote, part-time, hourly contract work.
  • Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, no minimum hour requirement.
  • Typical commitment: Most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
  • Project placement is based on current needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available.
  • No prior AI experience is required to participate.
Compensation
  • Up to $85/hr (depending on the project)
