About this role
Project Engineers with energy-sector experience can apply their estimation, pre-construction, and solar design expertise to help evaluate AI-generated content and improve how AI understands project development workflows and cost-estimation practices.
Role OverviewThis is a remote, project-based independent contractor engagement supporting AI research. You will use practical knowledge from your day-to-day work and the professional tools you use to create expert-level training data and assess AI responses. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with energy project development practices.
- Provide expert feedback informed by hands-on experience in energy project estimation, construction planning, and solar design.
- Create expert-level training data that helps AI better understand project workflows and cost-estimation practices.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in energy project estimation, pre-construction, or solar design.
- Experience in roles such as Estimator, Project Engineer, Pre-construction Manager, Solar Design Engineer, or an equivalent energy-industry role.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: Bluebeam Revu, RSMeans, or Aurora Solar.
- Strong written communication, close attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams.
- Remote, part-time, flexible, asynchronous engagement.
- No minimum hour requirement. Contributors typically work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week while assigned to an active project.
- Placement depends on current project needs, and qualified applicants may be considered for future projects as they become available.
Up to $85/hr (depending on the project).
