Role Overview
Process Safety Engineers apply their environmental health and safety and regulatory compliance expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of EHS workflows and energy compliance practices.
Key Responsibilities- Use hands-on experience in EHS, process safety, and regulatory compliance to review and rate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
- Create and refine expert-level training examples based on real-world EHS processes and tools you use in daily work.
- Provide detailed feedback to help AI models better reflect practical EHS workflows, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Work independently with asynchronous project teams to meet task requirements and quality standards.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in EHS, process safety, or energy regulatory compliance.
- Relevant roles include EHS Specialist, Process Safety Engineer, NERC CIP Analyst, Pipeline Integrity Engineer, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: VelocityEHS, ServiceNow, Synergi Pipeline.
- Strong written communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
- No prior AI experience required.
- Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work, fully remote.
- Schedule: flexible, asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement.
- Typical participation: when active on a project most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
- This is an ongoing, project-based arrangement you can take on alongside other commitments.
- Placement on specific projects depends on current needs, with the possibility of being considered for future projects as they become available.
- Pay: Up to $85/hr (depending on the project).
