Role Overview

Process Safety Engineers apply their environmental health and safety and regulatory compliance expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of EHS workflows and energy compliance practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use hands-on experience in EHS, process safety, and regulatory compliance to review and rate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
  • Create and refine expert-level training examples based on real-world EHS processes and tools you use in daily work.
  • Provide detailed feedback to help AI models better reflect practical EHS workflows, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Work independently with asynchronous project teams to meet task requirements and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in EHS, process safety, or energy regulatory compliance.
  • Relevant roles include EHS Specialist, Process Safety Engineer, NERC CIP Analyst, Pipeline Integrity Engineer, or equivalent positions in the energy industry.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: VelocityEHS, ServiceNow, Synergi Pipeline.
  • Strong written communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
  • No prior AI experience required.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work, fully remote.
  • Schedule: flexible, asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement.
  • Typical participation: when active on a project most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
  • This is an ongoing, project-based arrangement you can take on alongside other commitments.
  • Placement on specific projects depends on current needs, with the possibility of being considered for future projects as they become available.
Compensation
  • Pay: Up to $85/hr (depending on the project).

  • Must be able to engage as an independent contractor in hourly, remote contract assignments.
