About this role

Role Overview

Label, annotate, and structure real production network data so it can be consumed by machine learning pipelines powering autonomous networking systems. This hands-on role combines Level 3 troubleshooting and incident response experience with practical work on data schemas and annotation of logs, telemetry, and packet-level artifacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review real-world data from deployed networks, including logs, configurations, telemetry, and event streams
  • Label and classify network behaviors, issues, anomalies, and incident patterns for use in model training
  • Perform packet analysis, troubleshooting, and RCA-style workflows to interpret incidents and extract structured signal
  • Help define schemas and structure for large-scale data pipelines that downstream ML models will train on
  • Collaborate directly with the client team to iterate on labels, definitions, and data requirements
Qualifications
  • Current Level 3, Tier 3, or Principal Support Engineer working to keep enterprise infrastructure online and stable, with experience in on-call rotations, RCAs, final escalations, and outage troubleshooting, Must Have
  • Hands-on experience with end-customer enterprise networks, including switches, access points, and firewalls deployed in environments such as retail, healthcare, financial, manufacturing, university, or hospitality, Must Have
  • Practical Wi-Fi and wireless proficiency with enterprise WLAN controllers such as Cisco WLC, Aruba, or Meraki, and familiarity with 802.1X, RADIUS, and wireless troubleshooting, Must Have
  • Experience with packet analysis and incident RCA workflows
  • Curiosity about how raw infrastructure data is transformed into machine learning input and a desire to influence autonomous networking systems
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote
  • Engagement type: hourly
  • Expected commitment: 30 to 40 hours per week
  • You will interface directly with the client team for labeling, feedback, and schema decisions
Compensation
  • $50 - $70 hourly
