Music Professional for AI Model Training

Music experts apply academic and practical training in Music, Music Theory, or Music Composition to shape and evaluate AI language model outputs for music-related tasks. This role suits music professors, composers, producers, critics, or writers who use their domain knowledge to develop prompts, judge model responses, and guide AI behavior in specialized musical contexts.

• Design and refine domain-specific prompts to elicit high-quality music-related outputs from language models.
• Evaluate LLM responses for accuracy, clarity, musical insight, and pedagogical or editorial value.
• Research and document music topics that align with project needs, using AI tools as appropriate to support your work.
• Provide detailed feedback to improve model performance on technical and conceptual music questions.
• Learn and adopt new evaluation techniques and contribute to cross-disciplinary discussions about model behavior and safety.

• Master''s students or graduates in Music, Music Theory, Music Composition, or a closely related field.
• Active engagement with music in professional or academic contexts, for example as a professor, composer, producer, critic, or music writer.
• Comfort working primarily asynchronously and independently, including collaboration with AI research teams.
• Confidence that your subject-matter expertise surpasses current AI systems in explaining and interpreting core music concepts.

• Location: Remote.
• Employment type: Part time.
• Schedule: Asynchronous, flexible hours, no minimum hourly commitment.
• Project placement depends on current project availability, and projects vary by domain and time; the program operates year-round but openings are not guaranteed at all times.

Up to $88/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 visa holders may be eligible if they have CPT or OPT authorization, subject to your school s rules. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, the program may not meet that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for this program.
