Music Content Analyst for AI Training

Music Content Analysts analyze and annotate musical recordings and lyrics to help train and evaluate AI systems that process and understand music. The role is suited to candidates with formal music training or professional experience as musicians who have strong listening skills and a deep grasp of musical structure, vocal performance, and arrangement.

• Lyric review and song structure, verify and correct lyrics for accuracy in wording, phrasing, and structure, and classify each excerpt into its proper song section, for example verse, chorus, bridge.
• Vocal analysis, identify the number of singers on a track and determine the gender of each vocalist based on the audio.
• Develop domain-specific prompts and evaluate responses from large language models as part of project work.
• Complete tasks remotely and asynchronously, working independently to meet project requirements and quality standards.

• Bachelor''s students and graduates in Music, Music Theory, Music Composition, or a related field of study.
• Professional experience as a performing, recording, or touring musician is preferred.
• Strong ear for pitch, harmony, vocal layering, and arrangement.
• Familiarity with common song structures across genres.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous remote environment.

• Part-time, remote, asynchronous work.
• Flexible schedule with a commitment of approximately 10 to 20 hours per week.
• Project assignments include tasks such as lyric verification, vocal identification, prompt development, and LLM evaluation.

• Up to $50/hr (depending on the project)

• Open to U.S.-based students, candidates, and recent graduates who have valid work or training authorization, for example F-1/OPT, J-1, or H-1B.
• Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet their visa conditions and for confirming eligibility with their program or visa sponsor before applying.
• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify for projects, but you should consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, these projects may not meet that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.
