Role Overview
Provide expert musical evaluations of generative music models by listening to and annotating AI-generated tracks in Spanish (Mexico) and English, producing detailed ratings and taxonomy-based annotations to improve model quality across lyrics, vocal performance, and production.
Key Responsibilities- Listen to and evaluate AI-generated music samples across multiple musical categories and languages, focusing on Spanish (Mexico) and English.
- Rate samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, adherence to the prompt, vocal quality, and production and mix quality, using audio-engineering terminology.
- Assess lyrics and voice generation for quality, naturalness, and relevance.
- Score the quality of musical training data used by models.
- Annotate songs in detail using a structured taxonomy, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics.
- Produce written evaluations and follow structured guidelines and scoring rubrics provided during onboarding.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer.
- College degree in music that includes coursework or training in performance, music theory, and lyrics.
- Evidence of understanding musical performance, music theory, and lyrical composition.
- Experience writing lyrical music in Spanish (Mexico), the domain language in the role title.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish (Mexico) and strong proficiency in English; must be able to understand directions given in English.
- Ability to use audio-engineering terminology when describing production, mix, and vocal qualities.
- Location: Remote.
- Employment type: Hourly.
- Start date: Immediate.
- Duration: Up to 6 months.
- Commitment: Part-time, minimum 10 hours per week.
Hourly rate: $13.01 to $54.00 per hour.
