About this role

Role Overview

Evaluate and annotate outputs from generative music AI models in Spanish and English, providing detailed audio-engineering judgments and structured song metadata to improve model training and quality. Work with diverse musical categories to assess lyrics, vocal generation, musicality, and production quality for a leading AI research effort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Listen to and evaluate AI-generated music samples, including lyrics and voice generation, across multiple genres.
  • Score the quality of musical training data used by models.
  • Rate pairs of AI-generated samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production and mix quality, using audio-engineering terminology.
  • Annotate songs in detail using a provided structured taxonomy, including genre and sub-genre classification, song structure, and vocal and instrumental characteristics.
  • Write or assess music in the domain language listed in the title, and follow directions provided in English.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer.
  • Demonstrable understanding of musical performance, theory, and lyrics.
  • College degree in music that included performance, theory, and lyrics, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Prior experience writing lyrical music in Spanish, the domain language indicated in the title.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish (ES) and English.
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote.
  • Employment type: Hourly.
  • Start date: Immediate.
  • Duration: Up to 6 months.
  • Commitment: Part-time, minimum 10 hours per week.
Compensation

$30 to $54 per hour.
